Health/Primary Care Clinician/ Walk-in/Emergency Services
Provides behavioral health services to meet the needs of persons pursuing services in both the Primary Health Care and Behavioral Health Clinics. Must be LCSW credentialed. Behavioral Health Clinician Sees consumers in crisis, makes tentative diagnoses, treatment plans, and treatment interventions. Provides assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, using a brief therapy model. Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field. License or license-eligible status preferred. Practice ManagerExercises overall responsibility for the efficiency and effectiveness of health care deliver at the primary care center including scheduling, coordination, logistics, staffing patterns, supervision, training, reengineering, and interagency liaison. Previous experience with a medical group, hospital or clinic with supervisory responsibility required. Advanced Nurse Practitioner Performs psychiatric assessments and evaluations. Participates in the development of comprehensive treatment plans with special focus on the medications/symptom management components. Must have or acquire Alaska Advanced Nurse Practitioner license; must have or acquire prescriptive authority in the the State of Alaska and a valid DEA license. Case Manager Provides outreach and case finding, case management, assessment and planning, and case coordination between client, family and community resources. Provides monitoring and advocacy for individuals who suffer from severe and persistent mental illness. Works to develop and facilitate rehabilitation activities that included skills development, and recreational opportunities. Bachelor's degree in social services or related filed and two years of previous experience working with severely emotionally disturbed adults, children and their families. Must be comfortable with driving in Alaska winter driving conditions. Skills Development Specialist, part time Serves as a support function to the community services team. Provides individual and group skills training and various therapeutic interventions. Provides transportation services to clients and client families. High School Diploma or equivalency and two years experience working in the mental health field. Bachelor's degree in social services related field preferred. Certified Medical Assistant Must have certification as a medical assistant or licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Alaska. Prepares patients for physician encounter; within the scope of practice of a medical assistant, assists provider with procedures. Provides basic patient education including prescription usage, immunization information, lifestyle education for wellness. Support duties such as assisting other members of the nursing staff, stocking and cleaning exam rooms, wrapping and autoclaving instruments.
